Verisurf Pocket Scan
POCKET SCAN is a Verisurf-exclusive path technique for 5-axis CMM tactile scanning of interior pocket features. This scan type optimizes the path by controlling the probe head’s behavior as it is positioned and oriented while following the circular path around the pocket.The result helps achieve high measurement speed and accuracy by utilizing the head’s tilt and rotation for most of the movement along the path, while maintaining a single direction and speed of the CMM’s main XYZ structure. This minimizes the inherent error that movement of the higher mass bridge might induce.
Programming of POCKET SCAN is more efficient than the typical workflow for pockets. These feature types usually require programming of several individual features that make up the pocket.
Cycle times are also faster for POCKET SCAN.
The scan gathers a dense dataset for complete coverage with fine detail, scanned quickly and accurately.
