Verisurf 2024 improves the speed and accuracy of global registration through the addition of rapid sampling.

GLOBAL REGISTER, used in the Reverse, Measure, and Analysis managers, features a new option to align datasets by automatically sampling the appropriate cubic volumes from each set and then matching the cube-patterns to provide a fast, robust alignment. Rapid sampling works with any combination of clouds, meshes, and CAD models.

Global registration also includes an option to refine the registration, to improve the alignment between datasets. This fine-tuning serves the same purpose as register to nominal, and register clouds and meshes to each other, but is much faster and can be performed from within the global register dialog.

These enhancements provide a fast, accurate and reliable way to align and analyze data to a model. In addition, the speed of analysis in Verisurf 2024 has been improved by a factor of sixty, making it easy to scan, align, analyze, and report using massive data sets, in both manual and automated inspections.

These enhancements support both manual and automated inspections.
