Tech Tip - Calculate Cone and Cylinder IntersectionsWhen measuring the intersection of a cone and cylinder, it can be challenging to determine the diameter at the location where the two features intersect. Consequently, it is often more accurate to calculate the gage diameter. This option is readily available in the Verisurf Report Manager using the Intersect feature.1.    The Intersect calculation requires that both the cylinder and the cone be measured first so that they are both displayed in the measure data tree.
