Verisurf Software Sponsors SkillsUSA 2026
Computer Aided Inspection For Advanced Manufacturing Competition
Anaheim, Calif., June 2, 2026—Verisurf Software, Inc., a provider of measurement solutions and model-based inspection software, today announced its sponsorship of the 2026 SkillsUSA Championships, taking place June 1–5 in Atlanta. Through its Education Division, Verisurf will support the Advanced Manufacturing Technology (AMT) competition by providing inspection software, CMM equipment, and resources for validating finished parts during the judging process.
The SkillsUSA Championships is a premier showcase for career and technical education students and one of the world’s largest hands-on workforce development events. At this year’s event, Verisurf will host a booth and support judging for the AMT competition. State champions from across the United States will compete for national honors, with top competitors advancing to international competition. The 48th WorldSkills Competition is scheduled for Sept. 22–27, 2026, in Shanghai, China, where more than 1,400 young professionals from more than 60 countries and regions are expected to compete in 64 skill categories.
Once AMT competitors machine their parts, final quality evaluation is performed through Computer-Aided Inspection (CAI) using a Master3DGage portable coordinate measuring machine and Verisurf metrology software for quality reporting. As a member of the AMT technical committee, Verisurf contributes to test project design and prototyping to help ensure measurement requirements align with real-world quality standards. During the competition, Verisurf will provide on-site judging and metrology services using professional-grade, model-based measurement tools. For students, this stage helps complete the manufacturing workflow by validating their work with industry-standard software and repeatable quality processes.
Built on the Mastercam platform, Verisurf provides CAD/CAM-based metrology software that helps students and manufacturers unify inspection, alignment, assembly, and reverse engineering within a single model-based environment. The result is a more connected workflow that supports faster, more accurate, and more repeatable manufacturing outcomes.
“Giving students a foundation in digital workflows and the opportunity to apply those skills in practice is incredibly valuable,” said Nick Merrell, executive vice president of Verisurf. “By supporting SkillsUSA, we also support the workforce development priorities of manufacturers, such as Boeing, Haas F1, SpaceX, and the U.S. Navy. Participating schools, colleges, and universities gain access to curriculum and teaching resources that help prepare students for today’s advanced manufacturing environment.”
Verisurf supports model-based manufacturing and interoperability across digital workflows. Its software is compatible with major CAD programs and a wide range of digital measuring devices, making it well suited for workforce development and production environments alike. Students and manufacturers can use these digital workflows to strengthen process control and support more repeatable results.
