Renton Technical College | Renton, Washington
Verisurf will host a metrology workshop during the Northwest Association of Machinist Instructors (NWAMI) Fall Conference, taking place October 22–23, 2026, at Renton Technical College in Renton, Washington.
Organized by NWAMI President Micky R. Jennings, the conference brings together machining instructors from secondary and post-secondary schools across Montana, Idaho, and Washington to explore the latest methodologies and technologies in computer-aided design (CAD), computer-aided manufacturing (CAM), and metrology.
The Verisurf workshop will contribute to the conference’s focus on advancing manufacturing education by introducing instructors to metrology technology and its applications in modern manufacturing.
About the Northwest Association of Machinist Instructors
The Northwest Association of Machinist Instructors (NWAMI) is a professional network dedicated to precision machining, CNC training, and manufacturing education in the Pacific Northwest.
Operating as a peer-to-peer coalition, NWAMI brings together high school trade teachers, community and technical college instructors, union apprenticeship coordinators, and private-sector manufacturing trainers.
The association promotes collaboration among educators to align CNC programming, manual machining, and fabrication curricula with the evolving needs of the manufacturing industry.
Through conferences, seminars, and professional development events, NWAMI provides opportunities for technical trainers and machining educators to exchange instructional strategies, share educational resources, and explore advances in manufacturing technology.
These gatherings are hosted at vocational colleges and technical training facilities throughout the Pacific Northwest, supporting continued professional development and collaboration among manufacturing instructors.
Advancing Manufacturing Education Through Collaboration
The NWAMI Fall Conference provides an opportunity for manufacturing educators to connect with peers, explore emerging technologies, and exchange knowledge that can be applied in their classrooms and training programs.
Verisurf’s participation supports this educational focus by bringing metrology technology into the discussion alongside CAD, CAM, CNC programming, and precision machining.
By engaging directly with instructors and technical trainers, Verisurf contributes to the exchange of industry knowledge that helps educators prepare students for the evolving demands of modern manufacturing.
