Verisurf simplifies this process with powerful filtering tools that let users isolate 3D scan data by adjacent features and profiles. This ensures clean, high-quality point clouds and meshes ready for analysis, modeling, or reporting.

Verisurf enhances workflows involving point clouds and meshes with a data filter that removes points exceeding a specified distance from the CAD model. This filtering can be applied selectively to specific surfaces or multiple regions of the model simultaneously, utilizing level visibility or pre-selection features.

The maximum distance setting of the filter determines which points are selected based on their proximity to the CAD surfaces. Interactive settings allow users to see in real-time which points are selected, providing greater control over the filtering process.

Points that will be retained are highlighted in red, and the inversion option makes it easier to filter out points when it is simpler to specify which ones to delete.

Additionally, the projection filter streamlines the removal of outliers and over-scan in workflows where the data is aligned with a model. 

This filter is available for use with point clouds and meshes in the Reverse, Measure, and Analysis managers.
