Verisurf provides the fastest, easiest and most cost efficient way to inspect parabolic surfaces. This powerful tool is included FREE to all Verisurf customers. Verisurf’s Paraboloid Inspection solution can best-fit a parabolic surface to a random set of inspection points, using the method of least-squares. This tool can automatically best-fit without any starting parameters estimates, and has a very fast, efficient math engine. It can solve with fixed parameters, such as focal length, focal axis direction, or vertex location, in order to assess the surface under constrained conditions. It can handle a virtually unlimited number of data points, it solves for full or partial dish data, and it supports probe offset compensation. The Vertex or Focus point, and focal axis, can be used to construct a Device Alignment or Part Axis frame construction in order to help in positioning the feed. Verisurf’s parabolic inspection routine can be used with any 3D measurement system, either through direct measurement in Verisurf, or through data import.
Parabolic Surface Analysis How it works Measure the parabolic surface
Verisurf supports virtually all portable measurement devices, allowing you to measure the parabolic surface directly in Verisurf. Verisurf also supports a wide variety of data import options. Calculate the best-fit Paraboloid
Analyze the results Using Verisurf’s Analysis function, you can generate various error plots
...Including whisker and arrow plots showing the deviations.
You can even create color maps showing the error distribution.
Create a report Verisurf supports a variety of powerful graphical and tabular reporting functions, including various statistical summaries.
